Chorlton Whisky Bottlings

New in we have a great value sherry cask Speysider plus a fantastic Ben Nevis with a unique history, and there are some other exciting things to come in the near future! As usual the best way to keep up to date with upcoming releases is by signing up to the mailing list here.

If you’re looking for one of the older bottlings then feel free to drop me a line and I may be able to point you towards one of our stockists.

Shipping is charged at cost, and there’s a free local pick-up option at checkout if you’re in the Manchester area. If your location isn’t available please get in touch and I’ll see what I can do.

All Chorlton Whisky releases are bottled at natural strength from a single cask, with no chill-filtering or added colouring. No monkey business, basically.

Port Charlotte 15-year-old

Available soon.

Mackmyra 12-year-old

Available soon.

Ben Nevis 23-year-old

This 1996 Ben Nevis has an unusual history: spending its first 7 years in a sherry butt, then being divided into two ex-bourbon hogsheads until I was able to reunite the two halves for this bottling. The result is a classic super-fruity, fragrant and complex ’96 Ben Nevis given a bit of extra depth by that first spell in sherry wood. An exceptionally elegant and characterful malt.

439 bottles at 53.6% were produced and they are available for £105 each.

Tomintoul 14-year-old

A fully sherry-matured Speysider for the summer? Why ever not! This one has dark berry fruits, honey and toasted teacake on the nose. The palate is creamy, with lemon drops, caramelised pears and an earthy and toasty cardamom spiciness, leading into a hazelnut and dried fruit finish. An affable and quaffable dram, but by no means dull.

This sherry butt produced 455 bottles at 57.6% and they are available for £60 each.

These are sold out, but you may still find a bottle at one of our stockists.

Yes, sure. But aside from the 3 you bought there’s only the Orkney in stock! (New things are coming in the next month though)

So, what’s in the new blended 17yr old. My friend turns fifty this year and this could be an affordable and tasty 50th birthday pressie.
